Happy New Year

Yeah, I know it was yesterday, but I'm really psyched that it's January 2nd and I'm only one day behind!

I'm spending my holiday weekend cleaning and organizing my office. I have major goals that I want to accomplish this year and they require some really major organization if I'm going to make it. I haven't even made the list of things to accomplish. That is first up after I get the room cleaned. I'd really like to be able to have my puppies come in and lie down beside my desk like they do in DW's office. I've made a lot of progress, but it is up in the air at the moment regarding whether I'll make more progress today or nap.

Here is what is at the top of my to-do list this year:
  1. Polish and complete Gutenberg's Other Book

  2. Complete writing How to Write Memoirs and publish the book version

  3. Write a new non-fiction book on how to create eBooks

  4. Work at least half-time as a book and electronic document design consultant

  5. Make a sensible approach to the development of audience and market for my on-line sites

  6. Expand the market and inventory of Long Tale Press

I am going to put all my writing projects on a schedule so that I can block out time for each of them, including my LJ, DogBlog, and Twitter accounts. I am ready to make 2010 a better year all the way around. How could I help it? The past ten months of unemployment have taught me a few things, not the least of which is to use that time profitably!

So here's to a banner year. I'm in the sixth inning and it's time for a home run!
