Giveaways, Twitter Party, Publishing, and ArmchairBEA

I realized how fast life was going around me when I attended the ArmchairBEA Twitter Party last night. The flow of messages went past my eyes faster than I could read them. I'm still trying to sort through the contacts that I made last night.

This is my favorite book event of the year. It's one thing to know that the biggest and brightest stars in the literary firmament are gathered in NYC for Book Expo America, but when you are stuck in Seattle, how are you going to participate? The answer is Armchair BEA. This is the third year for the event and I've been an active participant/sponsor for each event. As a publisher, this is the best single-source access point for book reviewers ever. But as an author and booklover, it's also the place to meet great people who love books.

To celebrate, I'm giving away books to participants in ArmchairBEA (http://www.armchairbea.com). Last night we began our giveaway of Jason Black's middle grade historical adventure, Bread for the Pharaoh. I'm still getting requests and the giveaway lasts until 11:00 p.m. Eastern time tonight. In the meantime, we just began the giveaway of Stealing Home-A Con's Guide to Inheritance Theft by estate and probate attorney Phillip C. Lemmons. I believe this is an important book. If you have parents, relatives, or close friends who are aging and are potential prey for thieves, you need to read this book.

Tomorrow, my latest thriller, The Gutenberg Rubric, will be on the giveaway list, and on Friday, I'll give away ebooks of new romantica (erotic romance) author Devon Layne's book Model Student Book One: Mural. There are some real treasures in the weekly giveaways, too. I'll be publishing Jason Black's newest middle grade historical adventure, Pebblehoof, in mid-July and have advance review copies available. Also, my new detective mystery featuring beloved computer hacker Dag Hamar, For Money or Mayhem, will be in ARC a few weeks before the release date of August 16. Check out the giveaway page for all the details from Elder Road Books.

In the meantime, I'm so busy getting books designed and out to the printer that I've hardly had time to update the site. But I promise, there's more!
