25%--just where I wanted to be for the weekend

I have finished chapter six and have it ready to post on Tuesday. And I've hit almost 12,500 words, so I'm happy that I've gotten to where I want to this weekend. I'm guessing that I may not have Chapter Seven ready to post by Wednesday based on my schedule for the week, but I didn't actually promise a chapter a day. I did that last year!

So now I want to have a martini or something and see if I can come up with the actual content of the next fairytale: The Impossible Pot. It was really cool to see how The Village Idiot's story--The Wrong Way Home--and Steven's responding story--The Too Clever Maiden--intermeshed with each other. Jasper's story was about three brothers, and Steven's story was about three sisters. I'm seeing now that Steven may build on the other person's story each time, or may work out some way to reflect it in a new light. In Jasper's story, the third son was so foolish that he couldn't find his way home. In Steven's story the third daughter was so clever that she fell for her own trick. It was fun!

I have a vague notion that the Tinker's tale--The Impossible Pot, or perhaps The Unmendable Pot--has to do with a magical pot or kettle or pan that cooked without fire. Maybe it has been broken and the only way it can be mended is with dragon fire. Just not sure how it plays out. And I haven't even got a remote idea as to what Steven's responding story is about his hat.

So, here it is:
