Well, it's Over

I managed to avoid all the hype and TV talk surrounding the Superbowl yesterday and didn't bother to find out who won until this morning. Who follows hockey anyway?

But today I went online and watched all 32 Superbowl ads. Overall, the crop was a little shaky. My choice was the Tide "Talking Stain." Second was Dell "Red." But others of the top picks nationally were also in my final bracket. I liked Budweiser's "Rocky", though its bracket position put it against some higher picks for me. The E-Trade "Baby" ads were brilliant. I loved the sheer hokiness of the Bridgestone ads, both "Scream," and "Richard Simons." Life Water's "Thriller" ad was unquestionably the best beverage ad of the lot.

It might not be 1984, but the ad business still thrives on Superbowl Sunday.
