Detailed instructions for the Twarty tonight!

I have realized that not everyone is up on Twitter and what we're doing, so beneath the cut are the detailed instructions regarding what will happen at 8:30 tonight (Pacific time) and how you can participate in the launch of Long Tale Press.

  1. What: Long Tale Press, LLC, a book publisher, will launch at 8:30 p.m. PDT online at http://www.longtalepress.com. It is a new, community-based publishing concept that has real contracts for great books, generous royalty payments for authors, and a reader-based method for selecting what gets published.

  2. When: Tonight, July 18, 2008

  3. Where: That's the tough part. You are all scattered across the world, so we are launching on-line and holding a virtual, Twitter-based party (Twarty). Here is all you need to know to participate.

    1. Visit www.longtalepress.com after 8:30 tonight and take the guided tour. If it interests you, register. The first 25 people who register will each receive their choice of one of our first three eBooks for free.

    2. While you are there, try out creating a review of one of the three "classic" works that have been posted as submissions. You'll see that you can post a review and rate the work. What is better, you get a point for every submission you review and rate. Those points will prove valuable as you begin to rate the submissions of writers in the coming months.

    3. Bookmark Long Tale Press in your Favorites so you can come back often. New material will be posted nearly every day, so you will always have new reading material (stuff that hasn't been published yet) to read and review.

    4. Join us for the Twarty on Twitter. If you haven't joined Twitter, you'll find it really simple and a lot of fun. When you have an account, search at the top of the page for wayzgoose, and then choose to follow. Then enter http://search.twitter.com/. In the search box, enter #longtale. All the messages that are posted in our party will have that keyword and you will see them all. (You can do this even if you don't join Twitter.) If you post a message for us or about us on Twitter, include #longtale in the message. We'll be watching all evening and will respond to all the messages.

That's all there is to it! You'll pour yourself a virtual glass of wine (or a real one if you want) and socialize with us live at the Long Tale Press launch party tonight!

I am having trouble accessing Twitter. I was going to sign up just for you. If it doesn't work out, I will be with you in spirit.
