  • 13:13 @giggey Read it to her. She will probably be as interested in it as in Dr. Seuss. We underrate what little ones learn when we read! #

  • 14:41 @granthor I solved the problem by not leaving the house. Swore when I left MN that I'd never shovel snow again. Grrrrr! #
  • 17:06 Step 1 in Saturday's Timpano is completed. The Ragu al Forno is simmered and the eggs are boiled. I may saute the sausage tonight as well. #

I have no idea what a Timpano is... but it sounds incredibly interesting.
Timpano (sometimes a pasta timbale) is a timpani shaped pasta pie layered with meats, cheeses, and Ragu. It's cooked in a pastry shell in the oven and then inverted onto the serving platter. Slice and serve. You cut it in pie wedges to serve. I did a test last weekend and things turned out pretty well. Thinking I'll do all the cooking of stuff and cubing of cheese, etc. So all I have to do on Saturday is make the pastry, cook the pasta, and assemble and bake the timpano. Easy!
