Caro Diario...

I've just time to post a note before I lose connectivity for I don't know how long. We are about to leave our hotel and Milan to head for Venice. The opera was fantastic last night. We were moved from our first level box seats where we had partial views to a box that was straight on for the second half. Wow! It was an incredible experience. We saw Benjamin Britten's "Midsummer Night's Dream" alla Scalla.

We also got to see daVinci's "The Last Supper" at Cenacola Vincenzia yesterday afternoon. It was awe-inspiring. What an incredible piece of artwork, and marvelous way to speculate on whether he was indeed coding a message. The color and experience were still amazing after 500 years.

The daughter just had to get a Ferrari racing jacket and as a result got her picture taken in a Ferrari F1 car at the store. She is a pretty happy puppy. And what do you do when your daughter borrow's her father's clothes to go to the opera? Not the dress, the jacket. What a stunning girl!
