Lazar Wolf

Don't recognize the name? He's the old fart who wants to marry Tevya's daughter in "Fiddler on the Roof." It's also the role I'll be playing in Studio East's up-coming production, weekends March 11- March 28.

Wow! Haven't done a full-scale stage production in 8 years. I'm really looking forward to this!

In other news, I'm continuing the job search, looking for another contract, filing taxes and UI claims, and writing. Oh yes... and writing.

The edits on GOB have been slow, but the first chapter has gotten much stronger the more words I cut from it. If I'm not careful I'll have a 40k novel instead of 55k. (Oh yes, there is the other 20k of backstory to be put in, so I'm not worried about having enough words for a whole book. Tightening the work is good at this point. And making sure the players' motivations are clear, have a character, are believable, could function in the world I've put them in, etc. etc. All that is happening, but the deadline for PNWA literary competition is approaching rapidly. I didn't submit anything last year and want to submit two this year. That's a lot of work to get done in the next two weeks. BTW: If you or someone you know could translate a short paragraph into 15th century German, I'd like to talk to you. Send me a message!

My new site The Secret Life of eBooks is going pretty well, and I will start posting tips on how to create eBooks soon. So far it has all been reviews of eReaders and eReading software. There have just been so many, I had to cover them all. I'm really looking forward to some of the new devices that will be out soon.

I'm so excited for you about all of these things, Nathan. So glad you're doing well with the writing and blogging and the play sounds like so much fun! :)
Oooh, I've gotta see that show! Is DD in it as well?
Hope to see you at the show! DD is in an ensemble production of Chamber Music in April and didn't feel she could take on a role in Fiddler as well, so didn't audition. It is really going to be fun, though, working mostly with teens.

Tickets are on sale at http://boxoffice.printtixusa.com/studioeast/eventcalendar?v=0&i=0&g=0&g2=0&m=3&y=2010. It is anticipated to sell out, so early ticket-buying is encouraged!
