Heading out to retreat

I'm headed out tomorrow early for my annual writing retreat. I have big goals this year. My novel, "Gutenberg's Other Book" is nearly through its last re-write. That means that by the end of the week I expect to have at least four submissions out. My non-fiction outline and proposal for How to Design and Create eBooks is nearly polished. By the end of the week I expect to have at least three submissions out. I have a new scene I want to add to my stage play of "Steven George & The Dragon" adopted from my 2007-2008 NaNoWriMo novels. Want to have that over to the theatre that is considering it for production in 2011-2012 season. If that doesn't keep me busy enough, I've got severa other projects that I'm keen to start on as soon as I have the bandwidth.

Where? I'm headed for Las Vegas. Some retreat Mecca, no? Well, I exchanged a condo so got lodging for free. I used frequent flyer miles so got air for free. I won $300 in the PNWA Literary Competition and I figure I can eat on that for the week. Net: $0. And it is 100 degrees there, with a rooftop pool and spa that I'm literally aching to be in.

My ability to connect will be limited. So I may have few tweets or Facebook posts and certainly nothing up on LJ for the next week. I will try to make another post on "The Secret Life of eBooks," especially since my recent post on formatting a manuscript has been so popular. I intend to post a template soon.

So until I get back, good writing people!
