1650 words--I'm so happy

I sat down and starte writing in Deb's voice this afternoon and wrote her commentary on the events that occur on the first five days of Security & Exchange. And I learned a whole lot about what was happening and what Deb Riley's story in all this is. She is a little sneaky, proud of herself, and really caring. Okay, so here's a sneak preview:
She got to the top of the escalator and walked straight toward me. She stood about six feet away looking me over up and down. I gave her the same frank once-over. Then we both burst out laughing. “I can see why your boyfriend wanted you to interview, Debbie,” she said holding out her hand. I barely restrained myself from taking the hand and pitching her headfirst over the balcony rail. Do not call me Debbie!

And I ended up with 1650 words (almost a regular minimum Nano day) and a lot more knowledge about my story. Life is good!
