Happy New Year, FList

Hope that your holidays have been wonderful and safe, that you have had many happy reunions with family and friends, and that you are ready to return to your "normal" life with renewed spirit and energy.

After Christmas,DD & DW started feeling better and Wednesday we went out to Vashon Island for a couple of low key days with friends who live out there. I got four chapters written in Deb's journal "Municipal Blondes". We had good wine, food, and company.

Sunday the whole family got our acts together and headed down to the club to work out. Felt good. I think we will repeat that activity today.

Last night, we celebrated with the next door neighbors, opening a couple of bottles of champagne and sharing the vast amount of hors d'oevres that we have left over. Then we came home and the family watched "Trading Places." Yes it is rated R for some language and topless shots of Jamie Lee Curtis, but DD had been asking a lot of questions about the stock market and how people buy stock. We all thoroughly enjoyed it and now she gets to boast to her friends that she watched an R-rated movie.

We went to bed about 11:00 and slept late this morning which makes for a good start to the new year.

Well, I didn't get "Municipal Blondes" finished during the month of December. I got just over 35,000 words and 17 chapters done. The story, however, is a lot of fun with some surprising twists that I didn't expect, and some new characters that are adding a little spice to the mix. I'm excited to keep writing and am committed to finishing the story by end January.

The story is only ready to start Monday December 18 with Deb in Belize undercover and trying to get into a meeting of the Committee. But, I have it on pretty good authority that Deb will get kissed on New Year's Eve. The only question is "by whom?" She's had a couple pretty spicy lip-locks this month as it is, but they've only left her confused and dazed. So, will it be Silas? Cinnamon? Angel? Ray? Teresia? Teri? Or someone she hasn't yet met, like the playboy major league franchise owner whose yacht is anchored a hundred yards off shore on Ambergris Caye.

Well, the story continues at debriley.

Have a safe and happy New Year!
Nathan
