Wiping the tears

It's just begun, but I know that as the reality of the Virginia Tech shootings sinks in, it will get worse. The first paragraph read that authorities did not think the event was terrorist related. What the fuck do you call killing 32 people? Do you have to belong to a special club to be a terrorist?

So, the anger is close behind.

Comments

They meant he wasn't a member of the global, well-connected network of terrorists ruled with an iron fist by Osama bin Laden and financed for years by Saddam Hussein.

Snark aside, the guy was probably insane. I doubt this was a calculated attempt to frighten large masses of people; hence not terrorism, no matter how terrifying it actually was.
They probably meant he was not an Islamic terrorist, because obviously those are the only kind of terrorists there are. Well, those and the North Koreans....

*rolls eyes at the dominant discourse*

I sincerely hope that there is no more violence there... I'm hoping and praying that my friend who goes there wasn't effected.

*hug*
somewhat odd that that's how you put it... the kid was South Korean, here on a student visa.
Let's hope the anger doesn't take on too many minds... the tragedy and the answers are what's important. *continues praying*
::hugs my old friend tight::
